Increased Use of Cloud Computing and it’s Bright Future

The concept of cloud computing is just a few years old. Within this short span of time, it has made a major impact on technology. Many might not be clear with the definition of cloud computing. They should understand that cloud computing is a system which enables storage of data and information on the network. This can be shared and viewed later on by as many people as permitted. This technique is especially helpful for businesses who have branches far and wide. For them communicating the business documents on a regular basis would never be possible on time. With the use of cloud computing, they can store, share and view information in real time.

It is good to know that cloud computing has not been the same since it came into existence. Constant modifications are being done from time to time to make it suit the needs of today’s world. No other part of IT has produced so much interest as this.

A year worth remembering in the history of cloud computing was 2015. This year showed the world the scalability of the cloud infrastructure and its self-glory. Since then there has been no looking back or stopping. There has been a significant amount of growth in the field. In the coming years, it is expected to grow even more. As we are nearing the end of 2017, it is important for us to know where we are heading to in terms of cloud computing. In this article, you will get an idea of the expected changes advancing to the field.

Increase of hybrid cloud

This computing uses a mixture of public cloud services and on-premise private cloud with seamless orchestration in between platforms. Some organizations prefer to use the public cloud for its IT functions while maintaining the more complex functions in a private cloud. This combination of a public and private cloud is known as the hybrid cloud.

Cloud to become developer driven

The prime consumers of cloud services are the developers. Therefore, many services are made to become developer friendly to enhance adoption. Though the experts are of the view that being only developer friendly will not be sufficient. The cloud will become developer driven by supporting constant integration and delivery. This will bring cloud closer to the developers. All the layers of a cloud will be API-driven, from infrastructure, platform to application.

Lack of proper resources is another challenge

Cloud is the most wanted system. Hence, with it, it has brought about several challenges. Security is no more a concern. Experts believe that these challenges are prompted by insufficient resources and proper expertise. Additionally, trained IT and development staffs will be required to take care of the challenges.

Adding PaaS service

PaaS or Platform-as-a-Service is the solution that allows a company to cut off its IT costs while enhancing application development through more suitable testing approaches. It allows the consumers to develop, run and manage the applications without taking the effort to build an application or maintain it.

It is very much clear from the above scenario that cloud computing is an essential tool to deliver services to businesses and end users. In order to keep pace with the current trends, one needs to put their best efforts. It is said that in the years to come about 90% enterprises from around the world will be investing in the field. With that, it is pretty sure that there will be a growing demand for qualified and certified IT professionals to handle related issues. If you are a company, you know you need some trained professionals. If you are an aspiring IT professional you need to pull up your sleeves and strengthen your skills further to be eligible for the field.
