Linux Training Scholarship program is announced by the Linux Foundation to encourage those who want to avail Linux training. This organization being a non-profitable one is dedicated to increase the number of qualified Linux professionals by training the eligible candidates with Linux courses. It basically aims to give scholarship to those eligible candidates who really do not have much fund to pursue Linux training courses. It is committed to give the IT industry the true Linux professionals and shape the future of the Linux operating system. Linux Training Scholarship Program 2015 The Linux Foundation has announced its scholarship program of this year on Jun 15 and has added 9 more scholarships to last year’s 5 thus making it total 14 scholarship awards. Two more new courses named as Linux Newbies and Teens-in Training are introduced as a part of the training. The best part of this year’s program is that the certifications will be awarded as in addition to the scholarship. Candidates will be allowed to take up Linux Foundation Certified System Administrator (LFCS) or Linux Foundation Certified Engineer (LFCE) exam. Eligibility Criteria To become an eligible candidate you need to prove your interest and knowledge in Linux. Your application will be scrutinized by a distinguished panel of Linux Foundation and their decision will be final. If you are really in need of fund and have genuine interest in Linux courses you will be given priority. The results of shortlisted candidates will be on display in mid-August.
